49 Crossings·Level 7 Dissolution×Stage 0.2 Sensing
Sensing the Origin
You left the game. You play anyway.
The State
Inside: the dissolution holds. The self is gone. And yet — occasionally — something moves. Not the old self returning. Something acts on the physical realm. The way a wave plays on a shore — the ocean doesn't intend it.
At 7.2, there is no self extending. The field occasionally expresses through form. Reality testing itself. The universe playing with its own fingers.
Outside: unpredictable and small. Speaks after long silence. Touches someone. A gesture that seems random. Something shifts when it happens. No one connects cause and effect.
The Shadow
The faintest ghost of volition — the last trace of 'I chose to act.' The refining eliminates even the memory of choosing. Action without an actor.
The Gift
Spontaneous physical presence. Can interact with physical reality without re-forming a self. Others receive these interactions as grace — unearned, perfectly timed. The bridge between dissolution and form.
The Illusion
'I still have a role to play.' The ghost of purpose. The wave doesn't mean to reach the shore. It reaches the shore.
The Crossing
Let the play happen without the player. Complete absence of anyone who acted. Being at peace with sourceless action.
Diagnostic
In a person
The elder who barely speaks. But when they do — once a month, once a year — the words alter someone's life permanently.
In society
The intervention nobody saw. A society shifts because one dissolved person acted once, briefly, precisely.
Social phenomena
The mysterious stranger. Synchronicity. Legends of hermits descending from mountains. Moments of unexplained grace.
Cultural handle
It came out of nowhere. I don't know why they said it. But it changed everything.
