Title: The life I planned

Paradox: Arms open, plans dissolving

The Story

I painted this at a place where the rock face was so ancient it made everything else look temporary. The figures are not posing — they are being moved. There was a moment where I understood the life I had carefully designed was never the life that was coming for me. Every plan was a wall between me and the real current. This painting is the moment the wall broke.

The Crossing

Crossing 3.5 Resistance via Revealing — Revealing the Force. The figures stand exposed against the cliff face, arms thrown wide — not reaching for anything, but releasing everything. What was planned falls like water against rock, and what remains is the force that was always underneath. This painting does not pause to assess — it moves because clarity finally allows it.

Presence

Two figures stand with open arms before a cascading waterfall and cliff face, their bodies dissolving into the force of falling water through bold expressionist brushwork.

Specialised Pigments

Acrylic on stretched canvas. Mineral pigments layered with palette knife and broad brush, building impasto texture that catches light across orange and blue passages.

Display Suggestions

Open-plan living areas where movement and release are welcome.
