Title: Far From Home

Paradox: Every question dismantles a familiar wall

The Story

I painted a landscape that did not look like any place I had been. It was far from home because home had started to feel like a story I was told. Every colour I put down questioned the last one. I was not painting a place — I was painting the feeling of everything I trusted starting to wobble. That wobble was the beginning.

The Crossing

Crossing 2.2 Awakening via Sensing — Sensing the Doubt. The landscape breaks apart into colour that no longer follows the rules of what terrain should look like. Familiar forms — mountain, sky, ground — are present but rearranged, questioned, not quite holding their old positions. This painting sits in the moment when what you thought you knew begins to shift, and the world looks both strange and more real than before.

Acrylic on stretched canvas. Mineral pigments applied in heavy impasto with palette knife, building thick textural layers of pink, navy, and orange across the abstract landscape.
