Paradox: You question everything except the question itself.

The Story

I painted this by the Goulburn River where the water was so still it doubled everything. Sitting there I realised how much of what I thought I knew was just reflection — not the thing itself. The bush was alive with colour I had never noticed before because I was always moving through it too fast. This painting came from the moment I stopped and let the doubt in. Not the doubt that something was wrong, but the doubt that what I had been certain of was ever the full picture.

The Crossing

Crossing 2.2 Awakening via Sensing — Sensing the Doubt. The figure sits at the edge of still water where every colour is both real and reflected — where what you see and what you thought you knew split apart. This is the crossing where awareness begins to test its own beliefs against what it actually perceives, where the comfort of certainty dissolves into genuine inquiry. The vivid bush landscape holds both the question and the questioner in the same unresolved field.
