Title: Forgotten

Paradox: Everything is finished and nothing has started.

The Story

This painting came from a time when I had done everything I knew how to do and the doing stopped meaning anything. The tree by the water was just standing there — finished. Not dying, not growing. Done. I recognised that feeling in my own body. The colours came out muted because the energy was not pushing anywhere. It was the quietest painting I ever made and the heaviest.

The Crossing

Crossing 1.7 Dormancy via Living Dao — The Body Surrenders. The tall form stands and its reflection completes it — nothing is missing, nothing is reaching. This is the crossing where the physical world cycle finishes, where mastery has been so thorough that the drives themselves go quiet. The muted palette and broken colour fragments are not decay — they are the precise stillness of a life that has completed its first round and does not yet know what comes next.

A tall semi-abstract composition where a massive tree form and its water reflection create a vertical axis of completion, rendered in heavy impasto with muted tones and unexpected colour fragments.
