Title: The Climb
Paradox: Less is more.
The Story
To climb to the top, I decided to carry less. I threw away what I had accumulated for the relief of moving lighter. The climb showed me what was actual weight and what was stored fear pretending to be necessary. Less is more — not as philosophy but as the body's relief when the load drops away. Each piece I let go made the next step possible.
The Crossing
Crossing 3.3 Resistance via Breaking — Breaking the Armour. The work moves through layers of accumulation, shedding what cannot continue. The friction is too deep for any soft approach — what is no longer needed must break to clear the path. What remains is what survived the demolition; that is what carries the climb forward.
Presence
A horizontal mixed-media work on canvas — gestural black ink lines move across layered fields of gold, brown, and earth tones, with touches of blue and green.
Specialised Pigments
Acrylic and ink on linen canvas. Gestural ink over mineral and earth pigment fields; layered washes build movement across the horizontal composition.
Display Suggestions
Active rooms with horizontal clearance — studios, hallways, transition spaces.
