The Story

I have always loved water — it is where I disappear. Waterfalls have their own magic where the sound takes you somewhere your mind cannot hold. This painting came at a moment in my life when I had seen everything clearly — the vision was complete, luminous, satisfying. But I had not moved. The figure sitting at the threshold is me, resting in that exact pause between knowing and beginning.
