Title: Wodonga

Paradox: Peace can feel like completion, before depth has begun.

The Story

I painted this in a steady state — untouched, not yet tested, not yet deepened. There was a serenity to it that held its own value, the kind that arrives when one round of life finishes and you do not yet know there is another. I kept the palette knife loose so the surface could breathe. Underneath the calm sat the question: is this peace real, or only the quiet before disturbance? Wodonga holds that question without answering it.

The Crossing

Crossing 1.7 Dormancy via Living Dao — The Peace That Hasn't Earned Its Name. The first cycle has ended — physical mastery has quieted, ambition has settled, and what remains feels like peace. This stillness is real but unearned: completion of one round of life rather than the depth that arrives only after a question the physical world cannot answer. In this landscape the calm holds without strain, sitting at the edge of a question that has not yet been asked.
