Title: π of Life

Paradox: To be somebody, become nobody.

The Story

Life is about borrowing the false to cultivate the true. For a long time I mistook the mirror for life. I painted this when I finally dropped the need to be somebody and gave myself to what was in front of me. The mundane stopped being something to get through — everything became reflection answering back.

The Crossing

Crossing 5.6 — Embodiment via Receiving. The agenda dissolves and what remains is action without strategy: the body knows what's needed and acts without calculation. No distinction between important and unimportant — everything met with the same quality of presence. In this work the geometry holds the memory of that release: two circles meeting on a central axis, the figure between them no longer keeping score.

Presence

Restrained luminosity. Gold mineral pigment catches light along the concentric rings; purple crystal powder anchors the central form. The wash beneath builds depth without demand. The work calms a wide space rather than activating it — it functions where stillness is welcome and scale is honoured.

Display Suggestions

Wide statement walls — meditation rooms, studios, open architectural spaces.

Artwork Specifications

Print Material & Canvas Type

Limited editions are produced on 380gsm archival linen canvas when the short edge is within 160cm. For larger formats exceeding this dimension, works are produced on 320gsm premium archival synthetic canvas to ensure structural stability and longevity.

Dimensions

Listed dimensions refer to the displayed artwork size. When framed in Australian oak, the overall finished size increases by approximately 3cm to accommodate the floating frame structure.

For formats where both edges exceed 200cm, the artwork is produced as two aligned panels, designed to read as a cohesive single work when installed.

Finish & Framing Options

Limited editions are available as rolled canvas, stretched canvas with mirrored edges, or framed in Australian oak floating frames. Frames are available in natural oak, white oak, or black oak, featuring a 5.5cm deep profile.

Edition Information

Each limited edition is produced in a strictly controlled edition size and is individually numbered and hand-signed.

Customisation

Custom sizes, colour variations, and layout adaptations are available on request, including scale adjustments and multi-panel configurations. Please enquire for a tailored quotation.

Certificate of Authenticity

Every Limited Edition print includes a signed and numbered Certificate of Authenticity. The certificate carries Summer Jiang's signature, the edition number (e.g. 12 of 49), title, and date. The canvas itself is also signed on the verso in permanent ink for archival protection.

The certificate arrives sealed in a dark envelope, separate from the artwork.
